Our Philosophy

We strictly adhere to a “no-kill” philosophy. Animal CARE Foundation will only euthanize animals with documented injuries or chronic illness so extensive that imminent death, pain, or other insufferable effects cannot be controlled or cured.

Mission Statement

The Animal CARE Foundation believes that animals, as living creatures, have value beyond economic measurement, and are entitled to legal, moral, and ethical consideration and protection. Our mission is to act as an advocate on behalf of animals and as an enforcer of their rights; to provide for the well-being of our community’s animals who are abandoned, injured, subject to unfair or cruel treatment, or otherwise in need; to cultivate in the people of our community an awareness of the animals whose world we share; to promote a bond of mutual assistance between people and animals; and to instill respect for an appreciation of all living things.

Definition of Adoptable or Rehabilitated Animals According to the ACF

The Animal CARE Foundation works on the premise that every animal, whether healthy, ill, disabled or behaviorally challenged deserves to live.  Our goal is to find a situation where that animal is permanently placed, properly cared for and emotionally supported and loved.  We afford this respect to human life and animals deserve the same regard.

Intervention Programming

What does that really mean?  It means we help you do the right thing.  No one can do everything by themselves.  Sometimes we all need someone to help us learn or help with specific care or help with financial concerns.  And every situation is a little different.  Over the years, we have found that the community however, seems to have been taught to let the shelter system handle all things animal related.  That’s just unrealistic.  When you make a mistake or get into a situation, you need to be a part of the solution, even if you can only play a very small role.  We will work with you to discuss options and resources to helping you make the best situation for your family animal.

Found an animal?  We know, no one expects to walk out the door and “find” someone who needs them…. now.  But, it happens and again, if you can help, we can do more for more animals.

We have many years experience and have made all the mistakes.   That has given us a knowledge base and a perspective which we believe is most efficient but with the best results possible for animal and community.  Remember, “If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem”.  Help us help you and the animals who live with us!
